Reinforcing Traits of Efficiency, Honesty and Truthfulness: Essential in leading to Up-gradation of Personality Traits

Abstract: From the stage of early childhood, throughout the lives of the individuals, they are required to reinforce the traits of efficiency, honesty and truthfulness. The family members and educators in schools impart information in terms of meaning and significance of these traits. These traits are regarded to be of utmost significance in doing well in one’s job duties, achieving desired goals and objectives and meeting the expectations of other individuals, including family and community members. Furthermore, individuals are able to contribute efficiently in leading to up-gradation of their overall personality traits. One of the important aspects that needs to be taken into account is, these traits are facilitating in acquiring appreciation and reverence from others. The individuals are required to ensure, they are putting emphasis on leading to up-gradation of these traits throughout their lives. The individuals are required to make sure, they are acknowledging and implementing these traits in their personal and professional lives. These traits are facilitating in emerging into moral and ethical human beings and productive citizens of the country. Hence, in order to lead to progression, it is of utmost significance to be well-equipped in terms of these traits. Therefore, it is well-understood, reinforcing traits of efficiency, honesty and truthfulness is essential in leading to up-gradation of personality traits. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, understanding the significance of traits of efficiency, honesty and truthfulness, measures to be implemented in reinforcing the traits of efficiency, honesty and truthfulness and advantages of reinforcing the traits of efficiency, honesty and truthfulness.

Being Well-Informed Regarding Job Duties and Methodologies is Vital in Leading to Progression

Abstract: The individuals, belonging to all occupations need to be well-equipped in terms of job duties and methodologies. These are within personal and professional lives. In order to carry these out in a well-organized and satisfactory manner, one needs to be well-prepared. The different types of job duties are regarded as an integral part of the daily life routine. Hence, one needs to ensure, they are well-equipped in terms of ways of carrying these out satisfactorily. In other words, they will have to be well-equipped in terms of different types of methodologies and procedures. Furthermore, one needs to be well-informed in terms of traits of morality, ethics, diligence and conscientiousness. These are required to be put into operation in a well-ordered manner. As a consequence of doing well in one’s job duties, one will incur the feelings of pleasure and contentment. In this manner, one will be able to meet the expectations of individuals in leadership positions, i.e. educators, supervisors and employers. Furthermore, one willbe able to meet the expectations of family members as well. Therefore, it is well-understood, being well-informed regarding job duties and methodologies is vital in leading to progression. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, understanding the meaning and significance of job duties and methodologies, areas where job duties and methodologies need to be implemented in an adequate manner and measures to be acknowledged in implementing job duties and methodologies in awell-organized manner.

Newspaper Coverage of Environmental Stories: A Content Analysis on Selected Newspapers of Assam

Abstract: This study seeks to find out how the newspapers cover the environmental stories. The study employed a content analysis technique and had specifically focused on environment stories between January 2020 to December 2020. It identified 482 environmental stories from the three newspapers i.e. The Assam Tribune, The Sentinel and The Telegraph. The time frame was chosen for the study based on the time when the environmental issues like flood, deforestation, poaching was at the peak. The selected newspaper dailies were the highest circulated English dailies in the region. This study used the technique of content analysis that captures the variables: magnitude and type, news priority and nature. The study concluded that some important environmental topics such as Disaster management, Wildlife conservation, and Pollution issues did not gain much importance in those newspapers. Overall the findings of the study indicate that the issues related to environmental issues are needed to be more exposed to educate the public.

Films as a Medium of Politics: Haider – Representation of Kashmir Politics in Shakespearean Tragedy

Abstract: Films are an important medium for the portrayal and representation of politics. Kashmir, known for its natural beauty, became an essential destiny for Bollywood films. Many films were made in the 1960s with Kashmiri protagonists. Most of the films made in the 1960s era were apolitical, but in the post-1990s period, the films made on Kashmir reflected on the politics too. One of the films on Kashmir and its post-1990s is Haider, based on the Shakespearean play – Hamlet. This film was acclaimed by film critics as the bold job by the director to adopt the Shakespeare play in the context of Kashmir. This paper will analyze the story, dialogues, characters, and cinematography of the Film- Haider and explore how much it represents the politics of the 1990s in Kashmir. Using the content analysis approach, this paper will explore the relationship between the plot in the Shakespearean play and the political context of Kashmir.

The Cinematic Depiction of Media’s Social Responsibility: An Analysis of Journalism Films

Abstract: Journalism has been portrayed on the silver screen many times. Over the years, filmmakers have been attracted by the role of the journalist, and the news industry has been represented in a variety of ways in Indian cinema. This study examines how the concept and theory of ‘social responsibility of the media’ has been depicted in journalism films. In this context, it is imperative to understand that the professional practice of journalism in the past shows that the press has the responsibility to act in the public interest. Whether it is the role of the press in India’s freedom movement or the investigative function of the press in unearthing corruption and crime, the media has social duties and obligations towards society. Journalism and the media are often called the watchdogs of Indian democracy, and hence, it cannot be denied that society has some positive expectations from the media. These expectations go beyond journalism’s obvious normative role(s). This paper will examine how the media’s social responsibility has been depicted in cinema. The researcher will do a thematic analysis of journalism films that portray the social responsibility of journalism. Research on popular culture portrayals is important because such portrayals cultivate popular perceptions as well as myths about journalism. Film theory suggests that films are a reflection of real-life (to some extent), and therefore, films play an important role in documenting the contemporary trends in journalism. This study is based on the theory of ‘film analysis’ to understand the relevance of cinematic representations of social responsibility in journalism.

Importance of Television Talk-Shows in Classroom Lectures (An analysis using ‘Ek Mulakat’ as Reference)

Abstract: Teachers in classrooms constantly face a variety of challenges. Poor communication skills, lack of vocabulary, poor grammar, and lack of motivation among students can hamper the teaching and learning process. To deal with these issues, teachers use a variety of methods and teaching materials. This study was conducted to evaluate how teachers can use TV talk shows in their classes to inspire the students. This research study was carried out to understand if talk shows are an effective tool which could be used in classroom lectures. The findings show that using TV talk shows can often excite classes into enthusiastic collaboration in real. Exposing students to visual images of TV talk-shows are more effective than readings alone. They cannot act as substitutes for instructors but can complement readings and lectures. If properly introduced and discussed, TV talk-shows can stimulate inquisitiveness, willingness to learn more and provide frameworks for analysis. However, the focus is on how teachers can make their sessions more interesting and productive by integrating this teaching tool.
