Forming Cordial and Amiable Terms and Relationships: Essential in Leading to Up-gradation of Personality Traits

Abstract: From the stage of early childhood, throughout the lives of the individuals, they need to form cordial and amiable terms and relationships with family and community members. In order to lead to progression, it is necessary for individuals to maintain cordial and amiable terms and relationships with others. This is the key in leading to up-gradation of overall standards of living. Within personal and professional lives, there are some job duties, which are put into operation on an individual basis, whereas, there are others, which are implemented through working in co-ordination with others. Hence, it is necessary for individuals to form cordial and amiable terms and relationships with others. As a consequence, one will be able to obtain help and assistance in carrying out all types of tasks and activities in a well-organized and disciplined manner. Furthermore, through implementing effective communication processes, one will be able to augment information in terms of various factors and exchange different types of ideas and viewpoints. One of the important aspects is, one will incur the feelings of pleasure and contentment. In addition, one will not be overwhelmed by the psychological problem of loneliness and seclusion. Therefore, forming cordial and amiable terms and relationships is essential in leading to up-gradation of personality traits. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, understanding the significance of forming cordial and amiable terms and relationships, measures to be implemented in reinforcing cordiality and amiability in terms and relationships and advantages of forming cordial and amiable terms and relationships.

Participating in Extra-Curricular and Creative Activities: Essential in Honing Proficiencies and Skills

Abstract: The individuals from the stage of early childhood, throughout their lives need to acquire an efficient understanding of meaning and significance of extra-curricular and creative activities. These are difficult as well as manageable. The individuals need to acquire an efficient understanding of the concepts and get engaged in regular practice. The practice is facilitating in augmenting knowledge and understanding in terms of different types of subjects and concepts. These are carried out on an individual basis or through working in co-ordination with other members. In other words, individuals are participating in these activities on an individual basis or through working in collaboration and integration with other individuals. The individuals are in this manner leading to up-gradation of competencies and abilities. The individuals are required to make sure, they are making selection of extra-curricular and creative activities that are suitable to them. The individuals need to ensure, they participate in these in an effective manner. Furthermore, all the individuals need to inculcate the traits of morality, ethics, diligence and conscientiousness. These are the key in doing well in one’s tasks and generating desired outcomes. Furthermore, the individuals are able to render an important contribution in bringing about improvements in one’s overall personality traits and quality of lives. Therefore, participating in extra-curricular and creative activities is essential in honing proficiencies and skills. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, understanding the meaning and significance of extra-curricular and creative activities, measures to be implemented in participating in extra-curricular and creative activities and advantages of extra-curricular and creative activities.

Gender Stereotyping: The Role of Traditional and social media: An Analysis of Audience Perception

Abstract: Gender stereotyping has been rampant since the initiation of broadcast media in the late 50s and early 60s. However, as advertisements are a more persuasive form of communication, the perception and normalization of stereotypes and the degree of persuasion become more evident and probable. Television and social media advertisements differ in their portrayal. Hence, stereotypes and the level of influence through persuasion need to be studied separately. This research compares and analyses television and social media advertisements based on stereotypes. In addition, the audience’s perception and the level of persuasion are analyzed. Forthis purpose, the researcher has used content analysis and survey through questionnaire methods to identify the different socio-cultural factors that strengthened the process of stereotyping through media and to find out a probable solution to minimize, if not eliminate, this problem.

Review of Literature on the Media Uses and Gratifications Derived By Students of Higher Education in India

Abstract: This study is a brief review of the literature on the media uses and gratification among students of higher education in India. With the proliferation of social media and the pandemic-induced lockdown of the past two years, it is important to understand – how students use social media, seek and gain gratification from it, because with the proliferation of large number of social media networking sites and the magnitude of traffic that it generates, brands today put a significant weightage on promotions via these channels as the engagement metrics of these particular sites are new currencies of today’s connected world. The demography, ‘College going students’ was specifically chosen as they are consumers of tomorrow and their buying behaviour pattern will direct and shape the dimensions of future markets. The area of focus for this study was to review the published literature on the uses and gratifications of Media (specifically social media) uses among college going students through the lens of the ‘Uses and gratification’ theory. What are the gratifications sought and gratifications obtained through Social Networking Sites (hereinafter SNS)? Why people choose specific site/ service for a particular desire to be fulfilled? Why the internet – a great platform for searching and sharing information, is being utilized by college students primarily for communication and social networking activities rather than for the academic purposes? How the gratifications sought differ between males and females? What are the major motivations and needs for the consumers, belonging to demography stated above, to join SNS? The difference in treatment and the gratification sought from professional SNS like ‘LinkedIn’ and if there are any improvements or increase in efficiency in learning process due to incorporation of SNS in academics? The review found that Students prefer to spend more time online communicating and socialising using internet resources than devoting it for academic pursuits. Why people are so enamoured with social media is explained by its “user-friendly” and “let users manage” features as well as its user-generated material. Higher education students want to be involved in their communities; therefore, they seek out to their peer network in an effort to do so. Social fulfilment leads to adoption. College students use and built social capital on different social media platforms for gratification of their various desires. The gratifications sought and obtained varies from platform to platform.
