Abstract: The individuals, belonging to all occupations and socio-economic backgrounds, have one of the primary goals of getting engaged in employment opportunities. Within all types of organisations, individuals hold different job positions within the hierarchy. Within the course of performing their job duties and responsibilities, they may become overwhelmed by specific factors, which can lead to job stress. In other words, in all types of job positions, individuals do get overwhelmed by the problem of job stress. Several factors contribute to their being overwhelmed by this problem. Hence, throughout their jobs, they need to be wellinformed about their job duties and methodologies. Furthermore, they need to possess the abilities to work under stress. In addition, forming positive viewpoints will facilitate the adequate performance of one’s job duties and achieving the desired outcomes. As a consequence, all members will make an essential contribution to performing their job duties effectively, achieving desired goals and objectives, and meeting the expectations of individuals in leadership positions. The problem of job stress can be overcome on one’s own or through obtaining support and assistance from other members. Hence, it is of utmost significance to form cordial and amiable terms and relationships with each other. Therefore, job stress needs to be prevented from assuming a primary form; otherwise, it is considered an impediment to career advancement. The primary concepts examined in this research paper are understanding the meaning and significance of job stress, its causes, and strategies for mitigating job stress, which are crucial for professional advancement.

Abstract: This research paper explores the dynamic relationship between influencers in digital advertising and consumers’ online buying behaviour. In the contemporary e-commerce landscape, social media platforms play a pivotal role in shaping consumer preferences and influencing purchasing decisions. Instagram, as a leading visual-centric platform, has witnessed a surge in influencer marketing, where individuals with a significant online following promote products and services. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of consumer data and qualitative examination of influencers’ content strategies. Data is collected through surveys and analysis of online engagement metrics to derive comprehensive insights into the impact of influencers on the digital advertising landscape. This study examines the critical analysis of consumer buying behaviour, the factors that influence buying behaviour, and the types of media that impact the audience on Instagram. It also examines the undeniable influence of influencer Instagram posts on their followers. The relationship between brands, influencers, and consumers is essential for the influencer economy to shape Consumer opinion and online buying behaviour

Representation of Therapy and Therapists in Indian Movies and TV Series: An Examination of Accuracy, Influence, and Perception

Abstract: Film and psychology share a longstanding relationship with evolving depictions of therapy and therapists. While extensive research explores Hollywood’s portrayal of mental health, a gap exists in understanding therapists in Indian media. This study addresses this void, examining how Indian movies and TV series portray therapists and their impact on audiences. Utilising a qualitative methodology, expert interviews provide insights into therapists’ perspectives. Bollywood often simplifies mental health, while regional cinema offers more authentic representations. Critiques target films like ‘Dear Zindagi,’ ‘Atrangi Re,’ and Tamil movies ‘Beast’ and ‘Anniyan,’ as well as the series ‘The Family Man’ for unrealistic therapy scenes. Positive examples include Tamil and Malayalam films like ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ and ‘Irugapatru,’ and the series ‘Made in Heaven’ for ethical therapist portrayals. Indian media tends to trivialise therapy, perpetuating misconceptions and stigma. Experts stress the importance of responsible depictions, even in extreme treatments like Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Therapists face challenges addressing misconceptions fuelled by media portrayals during sessions, underscoring the need for accurate and empathetic representations in Indian media.

A Study on the Role of Constructive Journalism During Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract: An expansive proliferation of misinformation and fake news followed the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a devastating event with lasting scars that changed the world forever. While social media initially helped connect people and share information, it has also facilitated the spread of misinformation and false reports during the pandemic. The COVID-19 outbreak cannot be held solely responsible for the mounting scepticism among people regarding mainstream news reporting or the rising news avoidance observed in recent years. The role of news media organisations in disseminating scientific and verified information during pandemic situations is indispensable. However, a shift from the normative role of mass media as a mere informant and mute spectator to one that reflexively gathers and presents socially beneficial news for its audience could have mitigated the misinformation-induced hysteria to some extent during the pandemic’s peak—a constructive approach. This study critically analyses the various discourses surrounding constructive journalism and its role during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was found that most discourses vouched for the inclusion of constructive approaches in news sharing during crises and in future. However, regional, geopolitical, and socioeconomic differences may lead to varying understandings and contextual applications of constructive journalism, necessitating more in-depth academic research.

Interpersonal Communication and Mental Health: An Impact Study of Interpersonal Communication Skills on Mental Health of Youth

Abstract: Effective communication is crucial for mental as well as emotional well-being, playing a key role in determining the way people express themselves, build connections and relate to others. This research focuses on understanding the impacts of interpersonal communication on an individual’s life and how it affects their mental health. Through surveying 100 individuals aged between 18 and 25 years, we found that many participants struggle with talking or conveying their emotions, which leads to feelings of suffocation and difficulty in daily life. A substantial portion of the respondents mentioned that communication challenges often affect their relationships, while some reported experiencing worsened bonds due to communication difficulties. Our findings emphasise the importance of fostering open communication to enhance mental well-being and improve overall quality of life.
